- Location:
Reno, Nevada (89502) – Nevada nursing jobs - Facility:
Regional Level II Trauma Center - Unit: 38-bed Med/Surg with Orthopedic and Neurosurgery specialties
- Contract Type:
Travel Registered Nurse - Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/8/2025 – End: 12/7/2025)
- Patient Ratio: 1:5-6, private rooms, diverse ortho and med/surg cases
- Call Requirements:
None - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 - $1800
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nevada (must be obtained before start date)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred
- Ability to float to similar nursing units as needed
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Provide comprehensive clinical care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients on a busy Med/Surg Ortho Spine unit
- Manage patients with total joint replacements, ortho-spine surgeries, fractures, trauma, wound care, and medical overflow
- Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and quality
- Demonstrate adaptability and clinical excellence in a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital environment
