The Emergency Department Registered Nurse opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient flexible day‑shift schedule. This position performs a dual function, clinical and managerial, providing direct and indirect patient care in the clinical setting, participating in hiring of staff, and communicating with physicians, Nurse Manager, Director, and co‑workers about changes in a patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
The RN must be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
- Ability to perform a head‑to‑toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and the general patient population.
- Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain, utilize appropriate pain management techniques, and educate the patient and family regarding pain management.
- Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients and accurately assigns triage categories.

Qualifications- 2 years ED experience required
- Current RN license within the state of practice
- Current BCLS certification
- ACLS certified within six (6) months of hire
- PALS certified within six (6) months of hire
- ENPC and TNCC optional
