ICU RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical ICU experience required

• Active Nevada RN license (required for Nevada healthcare jobs)

• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

• Travel nursing experience preferred

• Ability to float to other hospital units within competency

• Willingness to work weekends and major holidays as scheduled
ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans

• Collaborate with intensivists, critical care technicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

• Serve as ICU Charge RN and Rapid Response RN as scheduled

• Provide comprehensive nursing services, including coordination with families and caregivers

• Demonstrate expertise in managing chest pain and critical care scenarios (patients requiring cath lab or IR are transferred to another campus)

• Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care

• Float to other units as needed, based on hospital requirements
