Tooling Maintenance Technician

JOB SUMMARY:

To clean, maintain and prepare the extrusion tooling to the required standard for production.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
1. Clean and inspect extrusion tooling (Components) according to VEKA Policy/Procedures
2. Disassemble extrusion tooling and insure proper assembly
3. Perform Maintenance on extrusion tooling as directed
4. Disassemble purged-in dies
5. Polish die, templates, and calibration as needed
6. Communicate wear and damage to immediate supervisor
7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
8. Operate Reach truck as needed

SECONDARY DUTIES:
1. Assist supervision and tooling maintenance personnel.
2. All other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Mechanical Aptitude, Oral Communication, and Accuracy. Safety and Quality oriented.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

GED, High School Education, Trade school preferred, or Previous Experience
