Production Associate - 1st & 2nd Shift

We're currently hiring a Production Associate for 1st & 2nd Shift. 1st Shift schedule starting 6am Monday-Friday (occasional overtime). 2nd Shift schedule starting 2:30pm Monday-Friday (occasional overtime). Starting Pay $20/hr. and 2nd shift differential of $1.50/HR.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for verifying and maintaining records on outgoing and incoming shipments. Requires documents to be prepared timely and accurately. Performs a variety of manual checking, summarization, reconciliation, data entry and analysis of data involved in the accurate processing of inventory movements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee shipping and receiving activities to ensure documentation is timely, accurate and complete.
• Compile records of unfilled orders and forward information to designated personnel.
• Check carriers in & out according to the company guidelines.
• Comply with the Fed Ex and incoming package company guidelines.
• Prepare bill of ladings.
• Prepares pick tickets & load documents for future shipments and runs necessary reports.
• Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
• Verify cheese-receiving documentations for completeness and compliance with company's receiving procedures.
• Coordinate and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders and receiving documentations prior to data entry and posting.
• Ensure accuracy of all data entries by reviewing edit-posting report prior to actual posting in the system.
• Resolve questionable entries on items prior to data entry.
• Attend all department and company required trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS/WORK CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a warehouse/production type atmosphere where the temperature is as low as 32 degrees (typically 45-55 degrees). Noise level in production environment may require the use of hearing protection. Requires standing for long period of time frequently twisting, turning, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting material up to 50lbs.
