Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Reno Staffing is looking for a Maintenance Technician II for a manufacturing company in the North Valleys!
This is a temptohire opportunity with a well established manufacturing facility offering longterm stability and handson technical work. Training will begin on day shift, and once fully trained, the position will likely transition to night shift. This site is on a bus line, steeltoes are required from day one, and the company is felon friendly on a casebycase basis.

Summary:
The Maintenance Technician II will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery, electrical systems, and facility equipment in a fastpaced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong technical ability, sound judgment, and a commitment to safety and reliability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and production equipment
Perform electrical diagnostics on single phase and three phase systems
Read and interpret wiring schematics, safety rules, and technical manuals
Maintain and repair electrical cabinets, wiring, and control systems
Troubleshoot electronic circuitry using fine measurement tools
Perform preventative and routine maintenance on facility and production equipment
Work with pneumatics, hydraulics, and electric motors (DC, single phase, three phase)
Assist with general building and facility maintenance
Follow all LOTO and safety procedures
Work near moving mechanical parts and occasionally at heights or outdoors
Lift/move up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
At the discretion of your lead or supervisor, you could be required to perform additional job related activities not specifically outlined above.
Competency:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
3–7 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
Twoyear technical certificate or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and electrical control systems
Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues through observation and listening
Proficiency with calipers, bore gauges, and other precision tools
Welding experience preferred; basic plumbing skills a plus
Strong mathematical aptitude (fractions, percentages, ratios, geometry)
Ability to follow written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule based instructions
Excellent attendance and safety focused work habits
Ability to work in moderate noise manufacturing environments
