We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Production Assembly Technician who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in building high-quality products as part of a growing team.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Crate Builder/Woodworker. This position is designed for someone with no prior experience but a strong willingness to learn. The successful candidate will receive hands-on training in building custom wooden crates used to ship lighting fixtures and other products securely. A high school diploma and a basic understanding of math, fractions, and measurements are required.
Key Responsibilities- Build and assemble wooden shipping crates based on project needs and shipping specifications.
- Assist with measuring and cutting wood using manual and power tools.
- Receive hands-on training in safely operating equipment such as saws, drills, and nail guns.
- Help inspect crates for structural integrity and reinforce as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete projects on time and according to schedule.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of math, fractions, and measurements.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work safely with tools and machinery (training provided).
- Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Experience with woodworking is a plus, but not required.
- Warehouse and production floor setting with exposure to woodworking tools, noise, and wood dust.
- Required use of PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
- Frequent standing, lifting, bending, and working with materials and equipment.
