Material Handler

Overview

Vista Reno is looking for talented, fun, and energetic Material Handler to join our world class manufacturing plant in Reno, NV!

Working hours will be Friday-Sunday, 6am to 6:30pm. Pay rate: $24.03/hour

This position is responsible for the sufficient delivery and supply of materials to specific areas throughout the plant.

• Move, lift and stack material using hand trucks and other devices as required
• Ability to follow and understand WIP management process
• Move material throughout delivery areas ensuring that proper routing of material is followed (FIFO)
• Responsible for timely and accurate delivery and pick up of material
• Attention to detail with delivery of work in progress
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Use power walkies or other material movement equipment as needed (such as: Power Tugger Cart)
• Capable of performing repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs.), flexibility for bending and reaching
• Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours)
• Perform any and all related tasks assigned

Other duties as assigned

• Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to operate various material handling equipment
• Previous work experience handling and delivering materials
• Training/Certifications for material handling equipment
• Team player who is reliable, eager to learn, train and rotate through the various operations
• Strong dedication to team member morale, customer service, safety, quality and delivery
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently and meet production expectations

• The ability to perform repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs.), flexibility for bending and reaching
• The ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
• The ability to actively listening and read comprehensive documents
• Strong communication skills
