What to Expect
The Commercial Construction Manager's primary responsibility is to lead and oversee project teams, including in-house installers, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with project goals. This role supports the deployment and installation of key products such as Megapacks, Superchargers, Semi Chargers, and solar projects. To effectively manage operations, the Construction Manager must be present onsite daily during active work periods.
This hands-on presence enables direct oversight of day-to-day team activities, timely identification of issues, and comprehensive awareness of all onsite developments. In addition, the Manager is accountable for upholding rigorous quality standards and enforcing safe work practices across all project phases. While these oversight functions are essential, the role prioritizes proactive team management and performance optimization.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time and within budget delivery of energy product installations
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, design, and operations) and external contractors to execute construction plans
- Ensure compliance with safety, enviornmental, and regulatory standars specific to energy products
- Oversee site inspections, quality control and risk management during construction phases updates
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing concerns and providing project updates
- Experience in construction management, ideally with a focus on renewable energy or electrical infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of energy systems, permitting processes, and local building codes
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, contractors, and budgets simultaneously
- 8 + years working experience in construction management including record of stellar leadership, organization and communication
- Ability to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time
- Knowledge of safety standards set by NEC and NFPA
70E - Journeyman's Electrical License a plus. OSHA 30 hours - CPR-First Aid Preferred
