A Service Technician is responsible for keeping rental properties in excellent condition, both inside andmut outside. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, highly customer‑focused, technically skilled, fast‑moving, and technologically proficient. This position services multiple properties.

Responsibilities
  • Complete thorough inspections of buildings, units and homes (including move‑out, make‑ready, and onboarding inspections)
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on apartments and single‑family homes, including units, common areas and amenities
  • Ensure heating, ventilation and Schwanz are functioning as intended
  • Test for proper functionality and have general knowledge of HVAC components
  • Complete internally managed service requests
  • Prepare vacant units for new move‑ins
  • Perform quality assurance inspections of work completed by outside vendors
  • Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash, if needed
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Respond to on‑call and potentially after‑hours emergencies in a timely manner
  • Work safely and recognize unsafe situations; take appropriate action to ensure safety of self and others in the building
  • Serve as Mynd’s “on‑the‑ground” ambassador; post legal notices and inside maps across the property
  • Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level can be loud. Employees are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, and lift or move items over 50 pounds.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency required. Associate’s degree from a technical college preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Two or more years of direct building maintenance experience strongly desired
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and efficiently manage schedules
  • Tech‑savvy with ability to learn and use tracking, scheduling and communication systems
  • Ability to use mobile applications and other tools for a variety of tasks
  • Positive, can‑do attitude with a commitment to excellence and achieving goals
  • Can work independently
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends, if needed
Nice to Have
  • Associate’s degree from a technical college preferred
  • Two or more years of direct building maintenance experience strongly desired
Travel Required

Frequent travel within the market and regular driving between properties is required.

Compensation/problems>

$25.00 – $30.00 hourly range. Compensation may be adjusted based on experience, skills, and interview performance.

Pay Transparency

Our compensation reflects several US geographic markets. The base pay represents the expected salary for this position, but ultimately pay is based on location, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and other factors. Roofstock is a total compensation company; the base salary is only part of the overall package.
