The Case Manager supports the attorneys and legal team by acting as an operational and workflow force multiplier across the firm. This role requires exceptional organization, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage competing deadlines with calm, structure, and confidence.
The Case Manager ensures attorneys are informed, prepared, and positioned to focus on strategic legal work by tracking deadlines, monitoring case progress, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring consistent forward momentum on each matter. This role reduces friction, strengthens execution, and provides the consistency and follow-through needed to keep matters advancing.
This position blends case workflow management, scheduling and prioritization, task and deadline coordination, client communication, and documentation with administrative excellence and professional polish. The Case Manager serves as a central point of coordination, structure, and professional support across the legal team, creating clarity, maintaining momentum, and ensuring that clients experience a high level or service and responsiveness aligned with the firm’s values.
Key Responsibilities Case Coordination & Workflow Management- Monitor and manage the progress of complex client matters from open to close
- Track deadlines, filings, court schedules, and key milestones to ensure timely completion of all case-related tasks
- Maintain organized, accurate case files and internal records
- Ensure attorneys are prepared for hearings, filings, meetings, and deadlines
- Provide regular case status updates and flag upcoming risks or bottlenecks
- Serve as a primary liaison between attorneys and support staff to ensure seamless execution of case-related tasks
- Ensure milestones are met and consistent forward progress is maintained across assigned matters
- Lead case management and strategy sessions including agenda preparation, follow-up, and task assignments
- Act as a professional, reliable point of contact for clients regarding case updates, timelines, and next steps
- Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries, reinforcing confidence and trust
- Manage expectations around timelines, next steps, and required information
