SummaryThe Housekeeping House Attendant is responsible for assisting Guest Room Attendants with delivery of items and maintaining cleanliness in stock areas and guest corridors. They ensure the housekeeping team in the tower has all needed items to complete assigned rooms in a timely manner. They deliver prompt, courteous, and team‑minded service throughout the resort and adhere to Grand Sierra Resort standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide linen and other needed items to Guest Room Attendants as requested
- Assist assigned Guest Room Attendants by stripping rooms, removing soiled linen, trash and providing supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of linen rooms and supply closets on assigned floors
- Alert management of needed items for supply closets and linen rooms
- Pick up linen and garbage from housekeeping carts throughout the day
- Perform special projects assigned by Floor Managers
- Enter work orders in the maintenance program and follow them to completion
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of all guest corridors
- Maintain the cleanliness of shared team member bathrooms on assigned floors
- Report any breakages or damages to the appropriate Team Members
- Deliver amenities to guest rooms
Minimum age 16 years. Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Must be flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate. Must be able to listen and respond to guest inquiries in a positive and professional manner.
EducationAny combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Language SkillsMust be able to communicate in English, verbal and written, sufficient to perform job duties and read labels on chemical bottles.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Physical, Mental and Environmental DemandsRequire physical stamina to sit, stand, walk and move through all areas of the hotel, speak and hear, use hands, lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, operate vacuum cleaners, dustpans, and brooms, and tolerate cleaning chemicals. Must be able to work any shift, holidays and weekends. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
