About the Role
This Clinical Lab Scientist opportunity is per diem with a convenient flexible schedule. The position involves processing laboratory specimens, reporting results, maintaining laboratory records, and following laboratory policies and procedures, while upholding quality control practices.
ResponsibilitiesER at North Valleys provides 24/7 emergency care and welcomes all ages from pediatrics to seniors. The facility features nine treatment rooms, including fast‑track exam rooms designed to efficiently triage low‑severity patients. Advanced imaging services such as CT, X‑ray, and lab draws are offered. The FED delivery of care model produces shorter wait times for patients who do not require robust services offered at a full‑service hospital.
Similar to a hospital emergency department, the FED treats a variety of emergency medical needs including heart attack, stroke, trauma, lacerations, acute pain, and other life‑threatening conditions. If a patient requires a higher level of care, NNMC partners with local EMS providers to transport patients to an appropriate regional hospital.
Job Duties / Responsibilities- Function independently in all areas of the clinical laboratory: blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology/immunology, and phlebotomy.
- Perform high‑complexity testing.
- Demonstrate knowledge of expected lab values for neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Notify patient caregivers and/or physicians of critical lab values.

- Nevada state licensure as a general supervisor (required).
- Able to perform blood draws.
- BLS certification.
