This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Biller, located in Reno, NV. The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately preparing and submitting medical claims to insurance companies, managing insurance denials and appeals, and ensuring timely reimbursements. Day-to-day tasks include verifying patient insurance, handling claim rejections, staying updated on Medicare and insurance regulations, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure proper billing and coding practices.
Qualifications- Proficiency in Medical Terminology and a strong understanding of ICD-10 coding
- Experience with Insurance processes, including claims and reimbursements, as well as familiarity with Medicare policies
- Ability to effectively manage Denials and Appeals processes
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in medical billing software and basic computer applications
- Previous experience in medical billing or a related field is a plus
- Certification in medical billing and coding is preferred
