About the HospitalNorthwest Specialty Hospital is an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center located at 6225 Sharlands Ave, Northwest Reno. The facility offers acute rehabilitation and adult behavioral health services, including occupational, speech, and physical therapy for adults recovering from stroke, injury, or other disabling conditions. Patients will experience private rooms, a renovated therapy gym, and personalized care from qualified staff.
Responsibilities & Duties- Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer physical therapy modalities as prescribed by a licensed physician.
- Administer treatments and physical agents to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or Ohne physical disability.
- Assist patients to reach maximum performance while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
- Coordinate, delegate, and supervise staff (RCNA, PTA, PTLA, aides) and participate in departmental operational and improvement activities.
- Maintain budget adherence, ensure accurate patient charges, and participate in infection control and safety programs.
- Current State Physical Therapy licensure.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in all aspects of physical therapy (preferred).
- Current BLS certification.
