Surgical Tech, Medical Assistant
Responsibilities
Assist in the OR and Pain Center including preparation and maintenance of instruments and supplies, monitoring PAR levels, cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments, and supporting the surgical team. Participate in department meetings and performance improvement activities.
- Prepares room with anticipated instruments and supplies for each surgical procedure.
- Accurately completes operating room counts; reports discrepancies and corrects immediately.
- Maintains aseptic technique during procedures. li>Sets up, scrubs, and prepares for procedures at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled time.

- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
- Surgical Technician Certification required (within 6 months of hire) or verifiable hospital surgical tech experience prior to 1/1/2018.
- 3-5 years experience preferred.
- Current BLS Certification.
