This dynamic full‑time opportunity is 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient flexible schedule. The Scrub Technician will assist the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures in the Operating Room and Pain Center, ensure the operating suite is adequately prepared, monitor PAR levels of all surgical instruments and pain management supplies, clean and sterilize all surgical instruments, and participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.

• Prepares room in a timely manner with all anticipated instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment for each individual surgical procedure or all anticipated endoscopes, instruments, supplies and equipment of each individual procedure.
• Accurately completes operating room counts (instruments, sponges, sharps); follows proper procedure in the event of incorrect count; reports all discrepancies to Circulating RN and surgeon and/or corrects immediately.
• Carries out medical/surgical asepsis during treatments/procedures.
• Sets up, scrubs and prepares for procedures at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled time unless otherwise directed by Circulating RN, Charge Nurse or Director.

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Surgical Technician Certification required (within 6 months of hire) or verifiable hospital surgical tech experience prior to 1/1/2018.
• 3‑5 years experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
