6225 Sharlands Ave., Northwest Reno – Northwest Specialty Hospital

Schedule:

Per Diem – Day Shift

Salary: $54.00/hour; $2,000 Sign On Bonus

Summary

This Inpatient Physical Therapist opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient day shift schedule. The position is for our new Rehab hospital in Northwest Reno. We are searching for a dynamic Inpatient Physical Therapist. You will be responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Administers treatments and physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.

Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The staff therapist coordinates, delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff (RCNA, PTA, PTLA, aide etc.). The staff therapist participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed.
  • Administer treatments and physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician.
  • Assist patients to reach maximum performance and level of functioning.
  • Coordinate, delegate, and supervise staff (RCNA, PTA, PTLA, aide, etc.).
  • Participate in operational aspects of the department, including performance improvement and CQI activities.
  • Provide input in formulating budget and assist in evaluating department performance versus budget controls.
  • Ensure patient charges are accurate and entered timely.
  • Participate in infection control, departmental equipment training, and organizational safety programs.
Qualifications
  • Current State Physical Therapy Licensure.
  • Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy.
  • Current BLS certification.
