What would you do in this role?

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Ultrasound Technologist, where you’ll play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging for orthopedic and vascular specialists. You’ll operate specialized ultrasound equipment to capture detailed images of soft tissues and blood vessels, analyze and document findings, and collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses. Your role will also involve preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, and ensuring their comfort throughout the process.

Additionally, you’ll maintain meticulous patient records, ensure consistent image quality, and troubleshoot basic equipment issues as they arise. If you’re detail-oriented, skilled in patient care, and passionate about contributing to a collaborative medical environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

A Day in the Life
  • Operate specialized ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images of soft tissues and blood vessels;
  • Analyze the ultrasound results, documenting the findings, and reporting to the orthopedic or vascular specialist for further diagnosis;
  • Prepare patients for exams, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort during the ultrasound process;
  • Review patient medical histories and collaborating with physicians to ensure the proper imaging procedures are followed;
  • Communicate findings with doctors, patients, and other healthcare team members clearly;
  • Maintain detailed patient records, ensuring that the imaging reports are accurately documented for future reference;
  • Ensure consistent high-quality imaging throughout the exam by checking machine calibration and adjusting during the procedure;
  • Identify and resolve basic equipment issues or escalates them as needed
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED;
  • Associates’ degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field accredited by CAAHEP;
  • Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience performing ultrasounds to identify vascular issues such as deep vein thrombosis;
  • Experience in an outpatient setting
