SummaryThe VIP Service Representative provides VIP guest service by taking phone reservations for rooms, restaurants and entertainment, determines comp qualifications for casino guests, handles VIP check-in and check-out, offers Executive Casino Host support, engages in VIP event telemarketing, and is responsible for stocking the VIP in-office bar.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provides VIP guest service by taking phone reservations for rooms, restaurants and entertainment; determines comp qualifications for casino guests.
- Walks the casino floor to meet and greet new and established guests.
- Answers calls and processes requests from guests, making, returning, and following up on calls to maintain proper communication with guests and departmental staff.
- Uses a computer to enter VIP reservations, limo requests, amenity requests, event reservations, hotel check in/out, and evaluate tracked play.
- Continually contacts internal and external customers to provide optimal guest service, coordinating with various hotel departments as needed.
- Handles VIP check-in and check-out.
- Offers Executive Casino Host support.
- Engages in VIP event telemarketing.
- Stocks the VIP in-office bar.
- Listens and responds to guest inquiries with a positive, clear speaking voice, troubleshooting concerns about data entered into the tracking system and providing assistance for guest satisfaction.
- Relays accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation, hotel services, directions to local attractions, function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.
- Casino experience is required.
- Previous hotel reservation experience preferred.
- Previous casino marketing experience is a plus.
- Four to six months practical experience, or a combination of education, training, or experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts and employees at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail and presentation skills.
- Results-oriented, hands-on professional with the ability to resolve problems/conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
- Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rate, ratio, percent, and data interpretation.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions through decisive judgment.
- Must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing with the Nevada Gaming Board and Alcohol Awareness Card.
- Minimum age of 21.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook) and expert in Excel.
- Flexible to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, weekend hours, and overtime as business needs dictate.
- Maintains physical stamina and proper mental attitude under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino; speak and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- May reach with hands and arms above shoulder level; bend, stoop, squat, balance, kneel, lift, and push/pull.
- Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds.
- Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
The work environment is representative of a smoke-filled, loud casino environment with exposure to high noise levels. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
