Overview

Hill International is seeking a Construction Manager – Data Centers (day shift or night shift) in Reno, Nevada

Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience in ground up construction of data centers. Civil or architectural structure with site development
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, architecture or structural engineering or related field
  • Proven experience leading heavy civil construction for large-scale infrastructure or data center projects
  • Existing relationships or prior work with data center developers
  • Familiarity with Nevada permitting and environmental regulations for heavy civil
  • Excellent communication and collaborative problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, information-sharing environment
  • Proven safety record with a culture of safety-first mentality, demonstrated by leadership
  • Must be willing to work onsite in Reno, NV

Responsibilities
  • Represent owner overseeing on-site heavy civil construction activities, including earth work, tracks, roadways, utilities, water, power, fiber, grading, pump stations, process piping, and enabling infrastructure
  • Collaborate with existing on-site teams, share real-time updates, and drive solutions in a team-oriented culture. Lead onsite safety culture and drive project schedule
  • Manage 12-hour shifts and oversee multiple concurrent sites with a small on-site team
  • Strong national partner track record with flexibility for travel (fly-in/fly-out)
  • Focus on quality evidenced by achieving minimal punch-list items at substantial completion, enforcing strict material and workmanship inspections, utilizing quality control plans aligned with project specifications, and maintaining ISO 9001 or equivalent certification on past deliveries
  • Demonstrated schedule performance through on-time or early project completions on at least three large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Set-up QAQC procedures and conduct quality inspections
