Job Summary

Technical Sales Support / Service Technician in Reno, NV supports the existing customer base in Northern Nevada, performs water treatment tests, and progresses toward a Territory Manager role. Base salary of $75,000-$85,000 with a $675/month car allowance and expense reimbursement.

• Solve customers’ water problems.
• Treat industrial boilers and cooling towers to keep them energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
• Perform detailed water testing & analyses at industrial sites such as data centers, mining, health care, commercial properties, and gaming.
• Help sell Garratt‑Callahan’s proprietary chemical blends, equipment, and monitoring technology.
• Perform passivation of stainless steel in industrial water treatment systems.
• Sell corrosion & scale inhibitors, coagulants, flocculants, biocides, bio‑augmentation, feed & monitoring equipment, water management plans, reverse osmosis products.
• Sell Water Safety Programs.
• Keep existing customers happy.
• Bring on new industrial customers.

• 4‑year science degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Paper Science, Water Resources, or similar.
• Capable chemist with at least one year of technical sales experience or related internship (preferred, but training provided).
• Outside industrial sales experience is a plus.
• Resident of the greater Reno area and familiar with the Northern Nevada industrial marketplace.
• No work‑visa sponsorship; must be authorized to work in the USA.
