American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) provides technical development and commercialization of domestic, sustainable sourcing of critical battery materials through lithium-ion battery recycling and battery metal extraction technologies for use in batteries that power electric cars, grid storage applications, and consumer electronics and tools. Our Engineering Drafterwilloperatewithinallfacetsof Digital Designfor our proprietary lithium-ion battery recycling processes and primary resource extraction technologies. This candidate will work with our engineering team at our headquarters in Reno, Nevada.
This position willreportto our Digital Design Manager. The ideal candidate willhave exposuretothe design, installation, andconstructionof first-of-kind equipment and facilities. This candidate should be passionate about implementing andmaintainingan efficient3
Dmodel, ensuring quality control of design,identifying areas of design improvement, and crafting and deploying detailed layouts. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver and have a keen interest in scaling processes proven at the bench-scale up to pilot- or pre-commercial scales.
- Expected to provide both coordination and design skills in support of a detailed andaccurate3
Dmodel.
- Work from sketches, notes, verbal instruction, ordrawing markupsto prepare new and revised engineering drawings.
- Continued maintenance of completed models/as-builts upon completionforfuture projects.
- Scope of responsibility will include overall accuracy & completeness of the models, physical & operational spatial coordination, andtimelyimplementation and resolution of any issues according to an aggressive schedule.
- Identify and work to resolve conflicts with Architectural, Structural, and other MEP design elements.
- Interacts and communicates effectively with all members of the project team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Autodesk Software:
Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. Knowledge of Dassault Solid Works is a plus.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience working with infrastructure engineers and contractors on the design/construction of manufacturing facilities.
- Experience interfacing with design/construction and cost control on quantity takeoffs.
- Associate’s Degreeindrafting technology and/or equivalent experience.
- Abilityto read P&’sandidentifyitems (equipment, valves, instruments, piping, etc.) in the field.
