Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is a leading engineering consulting firm offering expertise in Civil, Geotechnical, Traffic and Geo-Environmental engineering to a broad range of clients worldwide.

We are looking for a skilled Senior Project Civil Engineer to join our team in Reno, NV, where you will lead design, permitting, and client‑management activities for diverse land development projects.

As a Senior Project Civil Engineer, you will collaborate cross‑functionally with leadership to design, permit, and manage large‑scale residential, institutional, commercial and mixed‑use land development projects for both public and private clients.

• Design and permit residential, institutional, commercial centers, warehouse distribution centers, and mixed‑use projects for public and private clients.
• Work closely with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization.
• Lead site/civil efforts on a variety of project sites, including design and oversight of site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion, and sediment control from concept through completion.
• Lead storm water management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design, and SWPPP preparation.
• Demonstrate experience in all aspects of land development engineering, integrating geotechnical and environmental engineering.
• Perform other duties as requested.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of successful, local and related site/civil engineering experience with a concentration in land development on small and large projects.
• Professional Engineering license.
• Site/civil experience on a variety of project sites, including design and oversight of site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion, and sediment control from concept through completion.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
• Active participation in professional organizations.
• Experience in technical and proposal writing; strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits; valid driver’s license in good standing.
