Position: Parks and Recreation Seasonal Opportunities-Inclusion Division

The City of Reno is currently accepting applications for an Inclusion/Behavior Specialist. We have many positions available that cater to different interests and skills. Hourly rate and hours vary by position and may include evenings, weekends and holidays. Read through the job description and supplemental information below for the details. Part-time/Temporary Positions
  • Inclusion/Behavior Specialist ($19.75-$23.75/hour) (Available in a part-time/temporary capacity year-round)

Positions will remain open until filled. You are encouraged to apply early.

Inclusion/Behavior Specialist – Responsibilities
  • Trains staff on how to work with persons with disabilities to better include them in traditional program settings.
  • Provide services directly and indirectly to a variety of individuals with cognitive, behavioral, and physical disabilities.
  • May develop behavior/inclusion plans and instruct staff on implementation and modifying activities on a case-by-case basis.
  • As assigned, conducts client observations and/or assessments and evaluates individual cases.
Inclusion/Behavior Specialist – Qualifications
  • Age: 18
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience:

    One year paid experience working with youth in a recreational setting
  • License:
    Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education:

    College level courses related to disabilities or a related field
  • Experience:

    One year experience working with people with disabilities
  • Certifications:

    CPR/AED, First Aid
