Medical Doctor, Healthcare Consultant
Position Purpose
As a , employee shall provide clinical services to patients who are appropriate for the scope of a pediatric physician including but not limited to growth and developmental monitoring, general medicine, and immunizations. Physician shall provide regular clinic coverage, inpatient and emergency consultation as needed. Physician will be expected to collaborate with and supervise mid-level providers. Physician can expect to have some involvement with telemedicine.
A component of the physician’s time will be allocated to teaching residents and medical students as appropriate.
Nature and Scope
The incumbent obtains history, examines, diagnoses, counsels, and treats patients within the physician’s area of specialty and experience. The incumbent makes critical decisions regarding medical care. The incumbent works closely and in cooperation with the management staff, directs comments and questions to the appropriate management person and follows administrative policies. The incumbent actively participates in physician governance meetings, management decisions, and follows policies adopted by Renown Health and its medical staff.
The incumbent stays abreast of current advances in medicine by reviewing recent publications, attending in-services and educational meetings, and attending continuing medical education programs in the appropriate field.

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in medical specialty.

License(s):
Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Medical Doctor license. Current and valid Nevada Medical License required.
Certification(s):
Medical staff privileges at Renown Health. Current BLS and PALS certification by The American Heart Association standards.
Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
