! Our psychiatrist is a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine specializing in mental health who provides high quality, patient-centered assessment and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders.
A psychiatrist at HOPES functions as an integral part of the multidisciplinary treatment team within the Behavioral Health Department. Psychiatrists conduct biopsychosocial assessments, make diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and conduct medication management. They consult with other behavioral health providers, medical providers, support staff, and paraprofessionals to support HOPES’ whole-person, integrated approach to patient care. They may conduct psychotherapeutic interventions based on interest and agency need.

Responsibilities- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and diagnoses.
- Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.
- Provide medication management in collaboration with the treatment team.
- Consult with other behavioral health and medical providers, support staff, and paraprofessionals to support integrated care.
- Provide psychotherapeutic interventions as appropriate to interest and agency need.
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with specialization in mental health.
- Current licensure to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction (as applicable).
