you will contribute to the team
- Provide administrative and operations support to the manager of a large technical operating unit and act as an extension of the manager’s authority in administrative matters.
- Compile, analyze and present operational data, develop preliminary budgets and track projects and budgets.
- Liaise between the manager and clients and staff, ensuring effective information flow across a wide organization.
- Monitor progress and keep the manager well informed with up‑to‑date reports, graphs and other decision‑making tools, proactively ensuring budgets and goals are met.
- Respond to inquiries and requests for information/approval from staff and direct appropriate requests to the correct personnel.
- Coordinate operations within the organization unit to ensure consistency with policies and procedures.
- Assist the manager with the initiation and/or processing of personnel actions.
- Analyze project control reports and profit‑planning monitors to ensure expenses are accurately charted to the proper account and organization, advising managers when corrections are needed.
- Develop charts and graphs based on financial reports and update them for meetings, monthly reports, or presentations.
- Assist in developing presentations to clients and prospective clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration plus ten years of experience.
- Without a degree, requires fifteen years of progressively responsible administrative work.
- Knowledge of business administration practices and principles, including finance and accounting.
- Computer skills required, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Knowledge of the consulting engineering industry helpful.
- Ability to deal effectively and harmoniously with people at all levels of the organization.
