Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid (on-site 3 days per week) role based in Reno, NV for a Client Advisory Business Accountant.
In this role, you will oversee the financial operations for multiple clients and serve as their primary point of contact. You are responsible for the accuracy of their financials, the quality of their reporting, and the reliability of the systems supporting it.
You will review and oversee accounting activity, identify and resolve issues, and ensure financial information is compliant and consistent. You will work directly with clients, build strong relationships, and provide clear explanations of what their numbers mean.
This role requires someone who can manage multiple clients, make sound judgment calls, and work independently within established processes. You are trusted to take ownership of your work and your client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Advise business owners and support their understanding of their business's performance
- Oversee all accounting functions, from coding transactions to financial reporting
- Manage bookkeeping staff and provide training when necessary
- Maintain and review financial records in Quick Books Online
- Knowledge of multiple accounting software platforms (QBO, Gusto, BILL, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and industry-specific regulations
- Manage multiple client accounts efficiently, maintaining a high level of accuracy and detail
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
- 5+ years CAS experience working directly with multiple client accounts
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping, financial reporting, and business consulting
- Expertise in Quick Books Online (certifications are a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines with exceptional attention to detail
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to implement process improvements and streamline workflows
- General knowledge or ability to learn project management systems
- Strong verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
- Superior time management and organization skills
