High Reach FLD

Position: High Reach FLD (Permanent, Contract)
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting overall warehouse operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and mechanical knowledge to ensure smooth and safe logistics processes. Previous warehouse experience is preferred, along with the ability to perform heavy lifting and manage shipping and receiving tasks effectively.

Duties

* Operate forklift equipment safely to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse

* Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately

* Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring correct documentation and handling of materials

* Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed

* Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper stacking and storage to prevent damage or hazards

* Support stock organisation, inventory counts, and order fulfilment tasks

* Conduct safety checks on forklift machinery before use and report any faults or issues promptly

* Assist with general warehouse duties such as organising storage areas and maintaining cleanliness

Experience

* Proven experience operating forklift trucks in a busy warehouse environment

* Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control

* Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipment

* Experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving procedures

* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate stock management

* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently

* Basic mathematical skills for inventory counts and order processing

* Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and procedures
