Senior AI Engineer

2 days per month in the Reigate, Surrey office

We are partnering with a well-established UK financial services organisation that is significantly expanding its applied AI capability. With multiple live AI solutions already supporting frontline teams, the business is investing in the next wave of intelligent tools that improve decision-making, streamline processes, and enhance customer outcomes.

You will join a growing AI function operating within a modern cloud ecosystem. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful, business-critical initiatives where AI is already delivering value and has strong executive backing for further scale.

• Lead the delivery of AI initiatives from early discovery through to deployment and impact measurement
• Work with operational and business stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities for generative AI and advanced analytics
• Build, test, and deploy AI services within a cloud-native environment, ensuring solutions are scalable and secure
• Collaborate closely with engineers, Dev Ops specialists, data teams, and security functions to embed AI into production systems
• Contribute to shaping the broader AI roadmap and prioritisation of use cases
• Provide technical mentorship to engineers within the team and help raise standards across AI delivery
• Balance rapid experimentation with long‑term maintainability and platform robustness

• Demonstrated experience delivering AI or machine learning solutions into live commercial environments
• Proven ability to take models from concept through to production with measurable business value
• Strong Python skills and familiarity with modern ML and GenAI tooling
• Experience working within cloud platforms, ideally AWS, including deployment and infrastructure considerations
• Confidence communicating with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation
• Ability to work independently, refine problem statements, and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timelines
• A pragmatic mindset with the ability to prioritise effectively while contributing to long‑term capability building
