Overview

Our client, a well-established and growing food manufacturing organization, is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Systems (FSQS) Superintendent to join their team. As a Food Safety & Quality Systems (FSQS) Superintendent, you will be part of the Food Safety and Quality Assurance department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Food Safety & Quality Systems (FSQS) Superintendent

Location: Reidsville, North Carolina

Pay Range: $100,000 - $120,000

• Lead, coordinate, and develop the Food Safety & Quality Systems team to ensure high standards of food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, and Facility Leadership to drive food safety and quality initiatives.
• Oversee laboratory sample handling to maintain sample integrity and support audit processes.
• Conduct and participate in third-party and regulatory audits, ensuring compliance and readiness.
• Lead investigations related to contamination or quality events, making product disposition decisions and managing HOLD processes.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Meat Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, SSOP, and regulatory food safety requirements.
• Experience interpreting regulatory documents, notices, and directives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
