Veterinary Assistant

Reidsville Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for motivated, clinically skilled assistants who thrive in a fast-paced ER and outpatient setting, are confident in triage, and take pride in delivering high-quality patient care while working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• Perform outpatient and ER triage, assessing patients and prioritizing care appropriately.
• Provide exceptional patient care in the exam room and treatment areas, supporting both inpatient and outpatient cases.
• Perform phlebotomy, place IV catheters, collect lab samples, and run in-house laboratory tests.
• Assist with and monitor sedated procedures, outpatient treatments, and hospitalized patients.
• Carry out veterinarian-directed treatments accurately and efficiently while maintaining detailed medical records.

• 3+ years of veterinary assistant experience in a clinical setting REQUIRED
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Phlebotomy
  • IV Catheter placement
  • Inpatient and outpatient care
  • Radiology & lab skills
  • Triage & Client Communication

This is a full-time position, with a 5 x 8 schedule and availability needed Monday - Sunday. We're looking for someone to work from 12pm to 8pm with the weekend shifts on a rotating basis.

• Compensation: $20 - 25 per hour, for each hour worked*
• Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current experience
