Performs, processes, and supports Production Operations in various areas of the plant such as Press Room, Roll Stand Tasks, Hugo Beck Operation, Folder/Gluer, Die Cutter, and/or Material Handling.

The role is focused on excellence in OHSE and Quality to protect and promote the environment, health and safety of all employees and the community. The position is committed to quality through each employee, our system and in our processes and products.

• Receive product from Press, stack, and place on pallets.
• Understand basic operation of Hugo Beck Bundling System, including setup, troubleshoot, basics, webbing, trash in knife, roll alignment, tightening or loosening bundles.
• Pull product from press, stack and place through bundling machines, retrieve bundled product and place on pallets. Print pallet labels with Pecas. Find all information needed on the job bag and setup sheet. Ensure correct loading of product through bundling machine and onto pallets for Material Handling.
• Ensure quality of jobs by reviewing for quality and accuracy, ensuring jobs are complete and error-free, and informing Operators of problems.
• Verify finished product quality, print accuracy, and error-free output. Pull product samples as required and send to Quality Auditors; notify Operator of problems or errors.
• Downtime support: assist with press downtime, clean the press area, and perform related cleanup and maintenance tasks as required.
• Manage cleanup and preparation tasks such as filling solvent cans, tanks and auto viscometers, preparing for next job, and assisting with setup and tool changes.
• Ensure proper setup and breakdown of doctor blades using established procedures; safely remove and dispose of used blades and transport them to the designated area.
• Make-Ready: purge product from stacker/tables and Hugo Beck; assist with changes to impression rollers, stacker changes, and other press setup tasks; manage inks and solvents and replace/adjust components as needed.
• Follow OHSE, PPE, and hazardous materials/waste handling guidelines; maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Monitor and support Rollstand Tasks (if applicable): prepare and mount rolls, operate splicing unit, record roll information, and assist operators when the press is down.
• Gluer GT (if applicable): feed product into folder/gluer, pack, palletize, and print pallet labels as required.
• Forklift Driver (if applicable): operate forklift safely for material handling; load/unload pallets, manage waste, and ensure proper labeling and organization; maintain bi-annual lift equipment certification.
• Act as a member of the Press Crew, communicating professionally and respectfully with operators and teammates; demonstrate dependability and willingness to assist where needed.

• High School diploma (or GED), or equivalent; 1–3 years of related production experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong mechanical and physical abilities; forklift operators must maintain safety training for operation of all company equipment.
• Physical Demands: ability to lift up to 60 lbs; prolonged standing, bending, reaching, and other manual tasks; ability to rotate shifts and work overtime as needed.
