Purpose
- The responsibility of the die cutter position is to safely and efficiently produced lid stock per client specifications and requirements.
- Follows all Company policies and procedures related to safety. Maintains only the highest safety standards by wearing proper PPE, etc
- Performs tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation, and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errors.
- Meets Company's attendance requirements including timely reporting of absence and working overtime as requested.
- Operates die cut machine.
- Performs basic operator preventative maintenance to machines and/or tools;
- Checks and inspects material received from prior operations to verify accuracy and conformance to specifications on Sales Order Form
- Stages own materials for packing finished die cut material
- Keeps die cut parts in registration and completing quality forms
- Complies with sanitation guidelines and good manufacturing practices related to neatness, product cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area, in accordance of 5S standards, by cleaning spills and disposing of trash on a timely basis.
- Participates in on-the-job training and instruction to learn other job tasks
- Complies with Company policies and performs other duties as assigned;
- Must possess strong working knowledge of die-cut machines.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
- 0-1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High School education or equivalent.
- Internal – Daily contact with maintenance workers, shift supervisor, production employees and production planners.
- External – Limit exposure to external contacts.
- Die cutter is responsible for safely producing quality materials that meet the expectations and demands of our customers.
- The position requires an employee to stand and walk for an extended period of time. Exposure to moderate noise levels and potential hazardous materials. Must be able to lift a maximum of 55 lbs and must adhere to PPE and GMP requirements. Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case by case basis
