The Regina Open Door Society Inc. is seeking a qualified individuals to staff the full-time term position of Settlement & Settlement Support Worker in Schools Case Worker. The start date for this position is to be determined. Orientation Services for Newcomers (OSN) works in coordination with other IRCC-funded and other community programs. OSN provides newcomers with information, orientation, case planning, and referral and support services to foster their adaptation and integration Life skill is provided to newcomers with high and complex needs.
Settlement Support Worker in Schools works in Regina schools and community to provide the following services information, orientation, case planning, and referral and support services to foster their adaptation and integration Life skill is provided to newcomers with high and complex needs
Accessing OSN and SSWIS services will help newcomers meet their everyday settlement needs and goals; assist them in better understanding life in Canada; learn how to access IRCC-funded programs and wider community services, and adapt and integrate into the community.
Desired qualifications/educationTwo to three years of related work experience or Post
-Secondary degree are position requirements. Additional requirements include a criminal record check, a clean Child Abuse Registry record, a valid class 5 driver's license, and a clean driver abstract.

- Research information and services /programs that are relevant for the settlement of newcomers;
- Provide individuals and families with culturally sensitive Para-professional Solution Focused Counseling;
- Facilitate clients' access to appropriate services and programs by providing referrals to services and/or resources within the agency;
- Provide newcomers with useful and detailed information and guidance to help them navigate through processes in a variety of service areas
- Encourage successful settlement and healthy positive lifestyle adaptations through the provision of orientation information including one-on-one hands-on orientation and regularly scheduled educational sessions;
