Duties / Responsibilities Responsibilities
Service and maintain medium and heavy-duty trucks and mounted hydraulic equipmentCompletes daily work orders and provides input pertaining to preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs, inspections, parts, and emergency repairsMaintain service documentation records and complete reports of work performedReview work orders and establish priorities with Garage ForemanTroubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and electric systemsPerform all duties in compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety regulationsRoad work on service trucks as required and some overnight stay as requiredQualifications and RequirementsMinimum of 2nd year apprenticeship in the Mechanical and/or Heavy-Duty Equipment tradeHigh School Diploma requiredKnowledge of utility equipment is an assetExperience with hydraulics, electrical, engines and transmission is an assetWelding experience an assetRequired to provide own toolsValid Class 1A or 3A Driver’s Licence – Driver’s abstract will be requestedStrong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of off-road and heavy equipment, trucks and trailersAble to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent problem-solving skills as it relates to trucks and equipmentExcellent communication skills
