Job Functions:
First point of contact for Operations, Zone Supervisors, Clients, and front line employees for any incident, emergency, or inquiryResponsible for management level response to incidences and emergencies, while liaising with local authorities and regulatory agencies, depending on incidentInvestigate and report on all occupation health & safety incidents following the procedures set out in the corporate OH&S manualOversees site training to ensure all staff posted at Paladin Security sites are familiar with the site's operation, post orders, and dutiesEnsures that all security guards are dressed professionally and, in a manner, consistent with Paladin Security’s policies on dress and deportmentProvides coaching and disciplinary action to an employee whose actions are inconsistent with the goals, the policies, or the procedures of Paladin SecurityResponsible for the maintenance of Paladin's Occupational Health and Safety program for all site bindersMonitor, identify and report any health and safety deficiencies on their site, and instruct all staff in good work safe practicesEnsures all reports generated by Paladin Security staff members (incident reports, memo books, daily reports) are completed in accordance with Paladin’s high standardsCommunicates appropriate information to Operations as needed to ensure any outstanding issues are dealt with in a timely fashionMonitor daily and nightly incident reports to ensure both relevancy and accuracyOther duties as assignedQualifications:
Completion of high school diploma required; undergraduate degree an assetPrior security and/or law enforcement experience is an assetMinimum of two years supervisory experience with a demonstrated history of progressive management responsibilitiesWorking knowledge of appropriate legislation and provincial/national standards on fire safety, security, and protection of privacy is considered an assetValid Alberta Security LicenseMust have strong leadership, time management and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office softwareStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenValid Class 5 non GDL license with clean 3 year abstractPreferred Qualifications:
Certified Protection Officer (CPO) designation through International Foundation for Protection Officers.Experience in security management and protection at a senior levelEducation Requirements (All)
High School Diploma/GED
Post-secondary education in a law enforcement/security program from a recognized college
Previous managerial/supervisory experience
