We are currently seeking a self-motivated individual to become an integral part of the Inside Automation Support team at our National Service Centre. If you thrive in a dynamic team environment and enjoy being trusted with responsibility, then Westburne is the place for you.

The Inside Automation Support and Portals Specialist is in direct contact with customers, suppliers, and Business Unit employees to effectively resolve concerns and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for coordinating and troubleshooting activities, taking ownership of issues, delivering solutions, and supporting customer and supplier portal transactions including Conexiom, Ariba, and Taulia.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess job requirements and verify stock availability of orders. Offer alternative non-stock items based on specifications. Provide pricing terms as per established margins and source from suppliers to obtain price and delivery for non-stock items.
  • Coordinate and address all inquiries related to Business Unit customers.
  • Prepare quotations, process orders to completion, and verify accuracy using generated SOPs. Maintain backup records of all customer orders.
  • Provide reliable service and assistance while communicating future needs to the appropriate areas.
  • Act as a troubleshooter for concerns raised, offering feedback and alternatives within acceptable timelines and taking full ownership of the task.
  • Process customer and supplier portal transactions including Conexiom, Ariba, and Taulia.

Qualifications:

  • High School education plus a minimum of three (3) years administrative, order entry, and customer service experience in the industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read instructions, memorandums, and interpret product specification sheets.
  • Ability to write routine reports and customer correspondence.
  • Strong telephone communication skills with the ability to effectively convey product knowledge and information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer literacy – proficient with all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of Westburne AS400 system is an asset.
  • Product knowledge of electrical supplies is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience with e-commerce or supplier/customer portals such as Connexium, Ariba, or Taulia is an asset.
