Location:

Regina, Saskatchewan (Offsite or Offshore - Standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm CST. Offshore must have partial overlap with business hours in Regina, minimum four hours 8:00AM - 12:00 pm CST.)

About The Opportunity
SRA Group is supporting a large-scale public utility organization in Saskatchewan on a contract engagement for an experienced SAP Frontend Developer. This role sits within a high-visibility enterprise technology environment supporting core business systems. The selected consultant will work closely with functional teams and backend developers to deliver modern, user-facing SAP solutions aligned to enterprise standards. This is a delivery-focused role requiring strong SAP UI expertise and the ability to operate in a structured public-sector environment.

Role Overview
You will be responsible for:

Developing and enhancing SAP front-end applications (Fiori/UI5)

Collaborating with SAP functional and technical teams

Supporting UI integration with SAP backend modules

Participating in design reviews and solution architecture discussions

Ensuring alignment with enterprise security and governance standards

Supporting testing, deployment, and documentation requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

Strong hands‑on SAP Frontend development experience

SAP Fiori / SAPUI5 expertise

Experience integrating frontend solutions with SAP backend modules

Experience working in structured enterprise or public‑sector environments

Strong communication skills (stakeholder‑facing capability)

Ability to work onsite in Regina as required

3+ years hands‑on experience with SAP MDK, SAP Client, and SAP BTP Mobile Services.

Proficient in creating MDK pages, rules, and actions, integrating with OData services from SAP S/4

HANA, and managing offline synchronization.

Proficiency in JavaScript, SAP Fiori design, and mobile app deployment (iOS/Android) is required.

Design, Build, and deploy Fiori applications and Extensions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop mobile applications using SAP MDK on SAP BTP.

Build MDK pages, actions, rules (JavaScript), OData services, and UX logic.

Implement offline‑first functionality and synchronization rules.

Customize and extend MDK apps using JavaScript rule‑based logic.

Publish and manage applications via SAP Mobile Services.

Develop backend extensions using SAP CAP (Node.js or Java).

Create and maintain HDI containers and database artifacts on SAP HANA Cloud.

Configure destinations, roles, authentication (OAuth, SAML), and security policies.

Implement native device integrations:
Camera & photo capture, GPS/location services, Barcode/QR scanning, File uploads and annotations.

Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize MDK apps.

Perform unit testing and collaborate on UAT activities.

Ensure compliance with corporate security, usability, and accessibility standards.

Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.

Nice to Have

Experience with in utilities or regulated industries

Experience in large-scale SAP transformation programs

Experience working under Vendor of Record (VoR) frameworks

Familiarity with compliance-driven environments (NERC awareness an asset)
