Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Elicitation:
Gather and document detailed system requirements from Sask Power internal users for system acquisition, development, or enhancement projects/work orders.
Collaboration:
Work closely with Business, Project Managers, Solution Architects, Developers, and other IT&S resources and 3rd party representatives to develop the required deliverables.
Test Planning & Execution:
Write and maintain test approaches (strategy/plan for functional, integration, and user acceptance testing).
Test Scenarios:
Create, prioritize, and maintain a complete set of test scenarios to ensure proper test coverage.
Manual Test Scripts:
Create, identify, review, and execute manual test scripts.
Test Data Management:
Lead test data requirements and creation of test data.
Test Team Leadership:
Lead test team and defect meetings, ensuring problems are tracked and addressed.
Reporting:
Produce status reports and final test phase reports.
Requirements Management:
Facilitate the gathering and documentation of business requirements.
User Story Documentation:
Create and document user stories.
Business Process Workflow Modeling:
Model business processes to support system design.
Test Planning:
Ensure comprehensive planning for testing activities.
Requirements Traceability:
Maintain traceability between requirements and solutions.
Technical & Non-Technical Documentation:
Prepare both technical and non-technical documentation as required.
Workshop Facilitation:
Lead workshops to gather requirements and provide solutions.
Journey Mapping & Capability Mapping:
Facilitate the mapping of user journeys and capability mapping to support business goals.
Product Support Design:
Contribute to the design of product support systems.
Other Tasks:
Support other tasks as assigned by the Client IT Program.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience as a senior business analyst/lead, particularly with large system implementations of COTS and custom applications.
Technical
Skills:
Strong background in requirements elicitation, testing, and business process modeling.
Proficiency in creating detailed documentation, including user stories, test scenarios, and business process models.
Ability to work across multiple teams (Business, IT, Vendors) and manage the coordination of requirements and testing efforts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Agile Methodologies:
Experience working within agile frameworks and user-centered design.
Skills in Mapping & Workshop Facilitation:
Ability to perform journey mapping and capability mapping.
Experience in Testing:
Strong experience in test planning, creation, and execution of manual test scripts.
Collaboration Tools:
Familiarity with modern tools for requirements management, collaboration, and documentation.
Certifications:
CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification is preferred.
