This engagement will involve close collaboration with our Financial Technology team on implementation and system enablement work.

What We Are Looking For
We’re seeking an experienced QBO and Cloud Implementation Specialist to support client conversions and system implementations. This engagement is delivery-focused and requires hands‑on experience implementing cloud accounting and payroll systems end‑to‑end. The successful contractor will manage client implementations end‑to‑end and collaborate with our Financial Technology team on payroll, data migration, and automation initiatives.

Scope of Work
The primary focus of this engagement is the delivery of client accounting and payroll system implementations, including:

Managing client relationships through clear communication and timely, accurate support

Conducting business needs assessments and facilitating client meetings to document processes and requirements

Onboarding and training clients and managing expectations throughout the implementation lifecycle

Collaborating with internal teams to design technical solutions and implementation approaches

Creating and managing implementation plans, timelines, and budgets

Configuring accounting and payroll systems and overseeing implementations

Preparing post-conversion reconciliations and completing project close‑out activities, including time review and client sign‑off

Developing financial reporting in complex or multi-system environments

Troubleshooting client challenges and implementing effective, technology-based solutions

Researching and applying federal and multi-province payroll legislation and regulatory changes

Supporting change management initiatives for clients transitioning to new platforms

Partnering with internal stakeholders to align payroll services with broader client goals and system integrations

Representing The Corner Office professionally in all client-facing engagements

Qualifications

QBO Pro Advisor certification or equivalent professional experience

PCP or equivalent payroll designation

Proven experience with payroll data migrations, system integrations, and/or automation tools

Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end implementations of cloud accounting and payroll systems (including QBO) for small to mid-sized organizations

Experience with QBO ecosystem tools, such as Dext, Plooto, Approval Max, QBTime, Syft Analytics or others would be considered an asset

Ability to manage multiple client implementations concurrently, including requirements gathering, system configuration, training, and post-conversion reconciliation

Strong working knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, including multi-province requirements, or demonstrated experience researching and applying regulatory changes in client environments

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated accounting, payroll, and financial technology solutions

This engagement is open to independent contractors or fractional firms with relevant implementation experience.
