Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of the Nursing Unit, the Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of care and service is provided on the Nursing Unit. As an experienced practitioner, the Resident Care Coordinator acts in a leadership role to provide specialized clinical expertise, co-ordination of resident care, and support and teaching to the care team (including residents and residents’ families) within a collaborative environment.
The incumbent must be able to multitask and be physically able to respond quickly to emergent situations, as he/she is the immediate supervisor on the unit. The routine procedures are generally predetermined but critical thinking and independent judgment is an integral part of the position.

Experience
- Experience in teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities
- Experience in adult education
- Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience
- Experience in case management
- Requires experience in program/resource development related to needs assessment.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
- Interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills
