Sask Energy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Analyst, Buildings Support, provides financial, accounting and analytic support within the Buildings Department. The Analyst coordinates, administers and provides analysis related to operating, capital, strategic budgeting, monitoring, forecasts and contracts.

Core Responsibilities
Capital & Operating Budget Analysis
Assist with budget planning sessions with business unit managers to collect and compile future years’ budgets for submission to Finance.
Develop, implement and report on Key Performance Indicators providing analysis for senior employees in the department.
Review budgets and create variance reporting by collecting explanations and spending projections for the department monthly.
Review with Buildings and Operation Managers to investigate and reconcile discrepancies, prepare correcting journal vouchers.
Review Building Department capital project tracking forms & update project forecasts and cashflow projections.
Prepare month-end journal vouchers, perform financial reviews, and investigate anomalies.
Responsible for providing accurate and timely variance reporting.
Review and validate invoice charges for managers approval.
Assist in investigation and the preparation of business cases.
Prepare asset management plans and reports to be used by senior management.
Identify opportunities and department enhancements to improve financial tracking and monthly processing and customer experience.
Departmental Support
Maintain the document management system and identify enhancements to manage asset inventory and record management.
Assist in building templates and guidance documents to ensure standardized processes among Buildings.
Provide general knowledge transfer and system training where required.
Administer, maintain, and report on owned and leased assets.
Assist in acquisitions, disposals, and asset management of Corporate Assets.
Monitor leases, reconcile yearly operating and expenses.
Assist with departmental initiatives and projects.
Qualifications
Degree in Business Administration or Commerce.
Three (3) years analytical experience utilizing analytical tools such as Excel in the areas of budgeting/forecasting or accounting.
Class 5 driver’s license.
Pre-qualifying assessment.
Additional Information
Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required on occasion.
