Land Development Purchasing Agent

A growing, privately capitalized real estate development firm is seeking a Land Development Purchasing Agent to join its in-house team. The company is actively delivering multifamily, mixed‑use, and commercial projects with a consistent pipeline and new buildouts launching approximately every 90 days. This is a high‑visibility role reporting directly to the Director of Purchasing.

This position will oversee the procurement and bidding of civil and land development scopes, ensuring cost control, trade partner alignment, and schedule execution across active projects.

• Prepare and submit civil engineering plans for bid, including grading, wet utilities (storm, sewer, water), dry utilities, street improvements, landscaping, and hardscape
• Analyze bids and negotiate pricing, scope, and contract terms
• Align land development budgets with project schedules and financial targets
• Review civil and architectural plans to identify potential cost or constructability issues
• Manage contract administration and oversee change orders
• Forecast offsite budgets and price changes in advance of implementation
• Maintain strong relationships with trade partners and expand vendor networks
• Attend site meetings, frame walks, and plan reviews as needed

• 3–5+ years of Multifamily or Commercial purchasing experience
• Direct experience bidding Civil, Grading, and Wet Utility scopes
• Strong negotiation and budget management skills
• Ability to read and interpret civil plans independently
• Proficiency with Procore and Enterprise-One / JD Edwards required
• Advanced Excel skills
• Highly detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines
