  • Pay or shift range: $80,000 CAD to $87,000 CAD
    The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
Description Role Responsibilities
  • Conduct Inspections for site and branch locations, audits the effectiveness of the Health & Safety systems that are in place, identifies gaps in the systems and recommends solutions
  • Conduct workplace accident and Injury investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions
  • Support JHSC committees at branches by communicating corporate procedures, coaching, training, and follow up on issues related to health and safety
  • Maintains statistics regarding health and safety incidents and accidents. Analyzes statistics to determine trends as well as advise on proactive solutions
  • Managing Health & Safety Training programs for the region, this includes teaching, organizing and tracking training compliance with company and legislative requirements
  • Safety Communications – produce safety communications involving accident and incident summaries and learned lessons
Required Professional Knowledge,

Skills & Qualifications
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar position
  • NCSO Certification required
  • CRSP Certification preferred
  • JHSC Construction experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and Safety Acts and Regulations for the applicable jurisdictions
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and facilitate health and safety programs and policies
  • Experience with COR program
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the following procedures/programs:
    Lockout-Tagout practices, Confined Space Assessment and Entry, Electrical Safe Work/Arc Flash
  • Excellent communication, organizational, presentation and writing skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point. SAP experience would be an asset
  • Familiarity with third party safety prequalification programs such as ISNetworld, Browz, and Cognibox preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
