Job Description: The individual should have the ability to work with students with disabilities. An individual should have ability to differentiate instruction. An individual should have strong behavior management skills, good communication skills and work collaboratively. Individual should have the ability to direct teacher aides. Must be knowledgeable with teaching essential life skills, i.e. cooking, baking, sewing, and budgeting, while fostering critical thinking, leadership, and decision-making skills.

The FACS curriculum connectscore academics to real-world applications for personal well-being and career readiness. Must be competent to teach self-sufficient, confident young adults, prepared for employment and family life. Individual must have or be eligible for appropriate certification upon hire. Other responsibilities may be assigned. The assignment is subject to change.

Requirement: New York State Family and Consumer Sciences Certification

Anticipated Salary: $54,00-$92,000 commensurate with experience
