QA Automation Engineer

About the job
Within SM.I.LE80 engineering organization we are looking for a QA/test engineer who can actively and effectively contribute to the evolution of SM.I.LE80 product, bringing in his experience and willing to learn about the unique blend of robotics, software engineering, automation and networking we have. We do value teamwork, openness, transparency, respect and courage, playing together in a fully Agile environment.
Responsibilities

Contribute to the preparation, planning and execution of test plans, both regarding functional, performance, scalability and security aspects
Develop and maintain automatic test suites and analyze their execution output to ensure the product works as expected
Track defects, gather data and monitor quality metrics
Collaborate with the team in reproducing, troubleshooting and integrating the defect fixes

Required Qualifications

Master Degree in software/computer science engineering or equivalent
8+ years of working experience in the software testing and automation testing areas
Knowledge and competence of testing at different test levels (Unit, Integration, System and Acceptance). Ability to design test plans, write the relate procedures, execute and track results properly.
Experience in writing test cases and test reports

Working experience with performance/scale/stress testing and related tools & techniques
Competence and work experience on scripting and programming languages (i.e. C#, python)

Working experience with test automation tools, such as:

UI (Selenium Web Driver, Cypress or similar)
API (Apache Jmeter, Postman or similar)
SQL database
Unit testing (Junit or similar)

Work experience on Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

Working experience within the industrial automation, telco or mission critical software is highly appreciated
ISTQB Certifications
Knowledge and experience with cybersecurity related aspects (vulnerabilities, tools, SAST/DAST, penetration tests, etc)
Hands‑on with Git, Git-flow, etc
Testing experience with different browers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) and devices (PC/Windows, Linux, mobile)
