- Provide instruction in Agricultural Technology on the Fresno City College campus and/or off-site locations, including classes in the Agriculture program and the Ag Systems Certificate (e.g., Agriculture Technical Literacy, Agricultural Systems, Agricultural Safety, Equipment Operation, Configuration & Troubleshooting, Workplace Effectiveness).
- Enhance curriculum and incorporate cutting-edge technology for effective classroom delivery.
- Utilize innovative methodologies such as online, hybrid, or Competency-Based Education (CBE) to equip students with knowledge and skills for educational and career objectives.
- Recruit and advise students; participate in departmental co-curricular activities (FFA/CATA events); stay current in the discipline and engage in professional development.
- Serve on departmental, division, and faculty committees; attend meetings and workshops as needed.
- Participate in program review, student learning outcome development, and assessment to improve student learning.
- Teach in a variety of instructional settings and times, including evenings and/or weekends, online or off-campus, and large group instruction as needed.
- Fulfill duties and responsibilities of faculty as required by Administrative Regulation 7122; perform other duties as assigned.
All candidates must demonstrate responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community college students and equity-minded practices.

- Bachelor's degree or higher with two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional experience; or
- Associate degree and six (6) years of full-time equivalent professional experience; or
- A valid California Community College Credential; or
- Equivalent education and/or experience (requires equivalency).

Desirable Qualifications- Experience and skill incorporating elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion into responsibilities.
- Experience working with racially minoritized students and understanding of historical patterns of exclusion in higher education.
- Experience with students of diverse cultural, gender, age, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds, including students with disabilities.
- Willingness to examine and improve instructional practices to better engage racially minoritized students.
- Related work experience; ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
- Ability to work with computers and other technologies used in high-quality instruction and support; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Professional competency in teaching and experience in agriculture systems; ability to use current educational technology methods and tools.
- Membership in professional organizations; knowledge of current assessment methods and materials; knowledge of the community college mission and goals.
178 duty days per year (contingent upon funding). Duty days prorated based on start date.
Salary And BenefitsStarting annual salary: $71,054 – $106,970 based on education and experience. Duty days prorated based on start date. An annual doctoral stipend of $2,419 is available. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage for employee and dependents, life insurance;
CalSTRS retirement.
