    Responsibilities
    • Teach courses in precision measurements, occupational safety, job preparation, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software applications, learning management systems and cooperative work experience.
    • Teach short-term contract education classes to industry partners.
    • Attend departmental, division and faculty meetings including workshops.
    • Serve on and attend department, college and district committees as needed.
    • Recruit and advise students.
    • Work with local companies in the development and placement of on-the-job student internships.
    • Participate in program review, student learning outcome development and assessment to improve student learning.
    • Participate in departmental co-curricular activities such as clubs and related events.
    • Maintain standards of professional conduct and other duties and responsibilities of instructional staff as required.
    • Teach assignments in a variety of instructional settings and times, including evening and/or weekends, on-line or off-campus, and large group instruction classes as needed.
    • Develop reports and work with Institutional Research to maintain data on enrollments, course completion and outcome achievements.
    • Assist in the advancement of the institutional mission and goals.
    • Else fulfill all duties and responsibilities of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Minimum Qualifications

    All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice within the classroom.

    • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional experience.
    • Associate degree and six (6) years of full-time equivalent professional experience.
    • A valid California Community College Credential.
    • The equivalent education and/or experience (requires an equivalency).

    Desirable Qualifications
    • Experience and skill incorporating elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion into all areas of responsibility.
    • Recent experience working with African American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Latinx, Native American, and other racially minoritized students in the classroom and an understanding of how historical patterns of exclusion shape patterns of participation and outcomes.
    • Willingness to examine and remediate one's instructional, relational, and classroom practices to more effectively engage and support racially minoritized students.
    • Related work and professional experience.
    • Experience working with students of various cultural, gender, age, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds, students with disabilities.
    • Experience working with multiple precision measurement tools in an industrial setting.
    • Knowledge of California human resource practices and procedures.
    • Valid OHSA card and/or train the trainer status in OSHA compliance.
    • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Learn and utilize the District's learning management system for classes as well as grading and attendance.
